Tickle the Ozone This collection of songs is absolutely lovely. Every song is a pleasant surprise, with very various genres and sounds, but still having that sweet kiss that The Blasting Company's music always seems to bring. I am certain to listen to this dozens of times over the coming weeks! Favorite track: Infinite Waters.

onaippiano An amazing return! Every track has its own unique character while keeping the sound/style from previous albums. The EP feels like hot soup on a rainy day, or golden hour in a forest. Honestly one of my favorite releases this year. Favorite track: Trouble.

No Not Me 02:59
There's a hole in my heart Where a light just sparked Just a fine thread of Day to shine through Could the key to the dreams That I come to to When I wake and I'm changed And alone Belong there Where light cuts through the dark Diving, scraping Through this sea Of shadow Smothered sleep Fixed on the pinpoint shining Deeper and deeper diving Brighter and brighter Closer and closer No, no not me I've gone to sleep There is movement behind Where the light breaks through Shadows pacing and fading from view Something dark waits to cut out the light Spying, gazing through the breach Black eyes swallow me Far from the light I'm flying -Fixed on a pinpoint shining Falling or am I rising -Deeper and deeper diving Higher and higher Far into darkness So, long to me I've gone to sleep So, long to me I've gone to sleep

Something stirs In thy dark belly Where wounded souls Are tempted by What's borne of beasts And tamed in smiling That hungers for Our prayers to die I kneel to quench my Thirst with infinite waters From fountains of life Wither you lead Now come with your woes To the water's edge And see thy reflection In me Underneath The grey skies double Where sunlight falls In dimming depths I fathom not What fears are stirring For peace has stilled My quivering breast I kneel to quench my Thirst with infinite waters From fountains of life Wither you lead Now come with your woes To the water's edge And see thy reflection In me Oh waters rise And take my sorrows Drown them in Your blanking eyes Open your emptiness abundant And drink in full These sins and lies I kneel to quench my Thirst with infinite waters From fountains of life Wither you lead Now come with your woes To the water's edge And see thy reflection In me I kneel to quench my Thirst with infinite waters From fountains of life Wither you lead Now come with your woes To the water's edge And see thy reflection In me

Trouble 03:23
Trouble Always finds me But today I'm free Still a failure to be Is just a failure to me Does it hurt In the long sleep To miss waking to the deep Feeling of the air That filled me Feeling in my bones That moved me Feeling space between That longest heartbeat An empty song The veins that once enlacing Lose their grip and fall Too weak to keep embracing The dance begins to stall The lights on stage are fading I look out at the room The empty chairs are gaping And you alone left waiting Trouble still Does it hurt In the long sleep To miss waking to the deep Feeling of the air That filled me Feeling in my bones That moved me Feeling space between That longest heartbeat I breathe in fear The world is thick and dimming Shadows spreads like wings A silent wind they're beating The breath I gave you dear Remembering and weeping Each tear forgetting You, the world I tried to give you The emptiness I left you Trouble still

Search Party 03:07
Gather round Buddy up Grab some batteries The moon is dim The clouds are low And chances of Finding anyone are Slim to none Ask yourself Where would you Hide if you were Hunted down and Terrorized By shadows that you Know are watching waiting preying Say your prayers and hope you make it And I walk into the night And I walk into the night Oh I hope somebody finds you But not me And I walk into the night And I walk into the night Oh I hope somebody finds you But not me Flashlights are spiraling Sleep in the underbrush Fear of the darkness cuts Right through all of us And I walk into the night And I walk into the night Oh I hope somebody finds you But not me And I walk into the night And I walk into the night Oh I hope somebody finds you But not me And I walk into the night And I walk into the night Oh I hope somebody finds you But not me And I walk into the night And I walk into the night Oh I hope somebody finds you But not me

Bodies warm In the diner Frosted windows glow And our cheeks almost touching Laughing at someone's joke There was smoke From the kitchen They burnt your bread To this day that smell Won't leave my head I can't help but wonder What would have been If I weren't the man That I was then How much more Can I mourn for The fool I've been My heart's every beat Reminds me of them Remember then

Wade in the water Mud covered feet I'm dizzy in sunlight Splashing over me My hands reaching outward The wind and my mother They both held me upright As I fell right back into backwards Hold my breath and go Oh what a feeling As the waters rush Over me The faces blurring My sister riding her bike from the store My grandfather smoking his pipe out on the porch My eyes watch like a dream This life that spills over me And rocks me to sleep The sky is a blanket Your hand is a stone The lake is a prayer Swallowing prayers As I close my eyes and Maybe it's you Your love that I'm feeling And maybe it's G-d This love that I'm feeling And maybe it's just The sun spreading over The rippling water And maybe I'm just A drumming of heartbeats And maybe I was A melody leaping From birds singing as The light fades across the whole world Holding its breath as I go Oh what a feeling As the waters Rush over me The faces blurring My mother holding me tight to her chest When I close my eyes I still feel her words in my head It fills me like a dream Her voice that spills over me And rocks me to sleep Rocks me to sleep And rocks me to sleep

about

For Hire is a special EP for Halloween 2022
These songs were commissioned by the Bloody Disgusting Podcast Network for their narrative podcast "Class of '76".
The project took us in so many different directions that we hadn't been before. We ultimately had so much fun working on these songs that we decided to release them. We hope you enjoy the strange musical journey as much as we did 🎃
